           It was 30th of May of 1993. A big old blue house, with a huge garden full of people, kids running, happiness enveloped the place. It was Emma celebrating her birthday, she was turning 8 years old. Emma’s older sister Sarah was helping her to get ready, everyone was down stairs waiting for Emma to open his presents, she never would have thought that moment was going to change her life forever.            As little Emma and her sister were going downstairs, they heard their mother shouting, in a very scary tone. As soon as the got back, they saw a scene that would cause them a lifelong trauma, they saw their mother lying dead in the floor, but most disturbing, they saw their father holding a knife, his clothes were all sprinkled with blood, they run, dreaded, and called the police. They then went to an orphan house, and tried not to mention this traumatic incident ever again. By Pedro 

As they started to get to know the orphan house, they found it wasn't as bad as they thought. At first Emma was extremely afraid, to the point of not wanting anyone to touch her. She let the sadness handle her body, as if she was no longer there. She used to light up a room with her big kindly smile, but at that time none could have imagined that. Luckily, there was a psychologist in the house, which actually became her guardian angel. By Ana Pérez

Diantha Smith was a fifty-something year old African-American woman from Mobile who, back in her high school days, gained prominence for being the first black person in being admitted to the University of Birmingham. She majored in English Philology, but, later it became clear that her main interest was psychology. Finally, she became a public servant, working in orphanages across Ohio. When Diantha first saw Emma, the little girl was crying, looking at the window. By Miguel de Perosanz

Diantha suddenly went to talk with her, when Emma saw her for the first time she thought that she knew her from another life. When Diantha talked for first time with her, Emma did not mention anything from her mother’s dead, but Diantha realised that she had passed through a dark past, and she will not stop until she discovers her true past. One day a man called Pacho Herrera went to the orphan house, willing to adopt Sarah and Emma. Pacho was part of Rodríguez Orejuela family, a billionaire colombian family that made their fortune by the importation of consumer goods into the States. He was gay, which was not accepted those times, but everyone respected him due to his power. It looked like an amazing opportunity to Sarah and Emma to start a new life. However, there was something Diantha didn’t like about Pacho. By Andrés Rodríguez

            Pacho entered the orphanage with a smile on his face and looked at Diantha with superiority, he said: ‘’are you the one who cleans around here’’, to what Diantha said ‘’I'm a psychologist’’ “pardon me”, said Pacho. And that way the woman knew something was off. The wealthy man signed the papers and left with both of the young ladies to what Diantha tried to oppose but couldn´t. Manuel Ruiz

           At first Sarah and Emma were very happy because a wealthy man adopted them, thinking that, from that moment on, their lives would be completely changed. After a long journey by car they arrived to the big manor, it was a bit old but it had its charm, men dressed in black and with gun were protecting the entry of the manor, from that moment the big sister understood how Pacho was rich, he didn’t import goods, he was in a darker business but... what kind of business?           Several days after Pacho leaving with the two girls, Diantha started to investigated the man. What these two little girls didn't know was that, Diantha was actually a well-reputed spy. All her degrees and experiences were only a cover to hide the fact that actually, she was looking for the two princesses of Monaco, who had been missing since 1987, when the mother had run away with them. However, the reason that made her escape from the Principality is still a mystery. Jacobo

           Since Pacho adopted the two little girls, Emma changed her behaviour and now she was smiling again, but on the other hand, Sarah decided to investigate more about his new “dad” because she felt that something was not correct with him. One day she waited until Pacho left the house to go upstairs and get into his office. Carefully she opened the door so it wouldn't make a noise and something on the table caught her attention. Laura

             Nothing. There was nothing lying on the desk. Not a single notebook or agenda to organise himself. Not a single paper or pen to take any notes. This is not normal on a business man. It was unusually clean. The maid hadn't come since Monday, and Pacho doesn't usually clean. There must have been a good reason. And so she found one. Sneaking around she saw a little dot of blood. She was terrified, and she tried to go back to where her sister was, but she thought twice. Pacho loved both a lot, and she didn't wanted to go back to the orphanage. Javier 

           Her first thoughts of Pacho being a businessman of illegal things were being more correct as time passed by. Few weeks later she decided to go to the garden where there was a little cottage that looked old, rusty and dangerous but she was a really curious and brave girl so she decided to go inside. She opened the door and she didn't see anything until she saw a little illuminated hole that was cover by the floor. She started jumping really hard to see if the floor went down and it did. She fell into Pacho's secret drug cave. That cave was where he operated all his cocaine and methamphetamine business to Europe. Sergio Vara

           She continued wandering along the hiding place, and no sooner she turned the corner, she founded ten girls all of them on their early twenties who were working at a kind of laboratory. They were not discovering the cure of HIV but creating synthetic cocaine and narcotic substances. She drawed near them and with a baited heart asked the workers, who were them and if they knew Pacho. The answer was so astonishing that her heart stopped for few seconds. Nicolás Bagur

            The girls who were working there were very surprised to see Sarah. They were scared for her. One of them grabbed her and told Sarah that she had to leave that house as soon as possible, that she was in danger. Another girl explained that all of them had been adopted by Pacho and that after a few months being with him he kidnapped them and took them wherever they were, to the cave, so they could get to work in his business.         Sarah’s emotions were in conflict, as she did not want to leave this wealthy life, on the other hand, she was not willing to work on the drug industry. She ran away from the cave and told all of what happened to her little sister Emma. Emma did not believe a word of what she was saying. In reality, Emma knew all of this was probably true, but she did not want to leave without a parental figure once again. Carlo Cabrera

            Sarah felt a strong degree of responsibility for the safety of her sister, and cared for her deeply as she was all the family she had left. But at the end of the day, she too was just a child. Emma occussed Sarah of lying about Pacho's empty office desk and illegal drugs cabe, which left the older sister feeling so betrayed and overwhelmingly disappointed that she gave up on escaping with Emma and left her behind, a decision she'd regret soon later.             Sarah was on her way to escape when she saw Pacho returning home with two other men after him, Pacho saw her and asked her why was she leaving the mansion and Sarah just improvised and replied nervously that she was going for a walk, Pacho agreed and let her go even though he felt the anxiousness in her face. When Sarah went to the door thinking she had escaped she didn't feel the two men coming after her who caught her and made her sleep by making her inhale some strange chemical. When she woke up she noticed she was missing a leg. Stefan

             

             Sarah had her mouth taped. She didn't recognize the place but considering how big Pacho's house was, she surely was in one of the secret rooms. The room was dark and damp. Suddenly the lights turned on. Pacho appeared along with the other two men. He wanted to transmit to Sarah that he was very disappointed at her, and he didn't expect her to be gossiping around when it was none of her business. This was just a wake-up call. Ariana

              Pacho told Sarah that if she made something stupid again, they would kill Emma and sell her organs. She was completely demolished and she did not have any hope to survive. At least her supposedly missing leg appeared again in its intended place; she probably had hallucinations before due to the chemical substance they used in order to  make her sleep, this would explain everything. Meanwhile, Emma was very worried about Sarah because she had not seen her around the house since a long time ago. Sarah, from the other hand, was locked in the room for a whole day. What she only could do was to think about every possible way to escape with Emma from Pacho or pray for someone to come and rescue them. José 

              It’s been two days since Sarah was locked up. All the luxuries were over, now her situation was even worse than in the orphanage, but she could not surrender, there must be an exit in that room. After two hours looking at the only window that room had and thinking, she realised that she had a “clip”. Sarah sneakily started to open the lock on the window with the metal clip. She managed to open the window so she went out running as fast as possible looking for her sister in order to escape from the Colombian drug dealer. Hugo

               After escaping from that traumatic room, she started her plan which she had made in the room a day before. Hiding from room to room, she finally arrived to the office, where as she saw the last time she entered, a phone was placed on there. She suddenly called Diantha and with a few words explained everything that happened. Her plan was almost done, with Diantha and the police coming to rescue the sisters she only had to find her little sibling without being discovered by Pacho and his guards... -Pablo

             Finally Sarah managed to arrive to the room, where her little sister and her used to sleep, without been seen. Unfortunately Emma wasn't there, the older sister was running out of time, Diantha told her she would arrive there in 20 minutes and by then she must have found her sister,  otherwise she would have to left without her, because if Pacho realized the police was at her house he would make Emma disappear. Suddenly Sarah remembered her little sister favourite place of the mansion and without doubting twice she run to found her. Isabel

There she was, in the game room. She was playing with arcade games. Emma saw Sarah and run to hug her. They were running out of time, there was not much time to explain her what was going on, so sarah just asked Emma to fully trust her and to silently follow her without making any question. Sarah nodded her head and started following her sister. 

After a few minutes of tension, they were about to make it, they were going to escape. There was only one corridor left and a door. Diantha would be waiting for them near the house and they would be free once and for all. By Sofía

They passed smoothly through the last corridor but when they turned their heads to see the door they saw two huge black dressed men's. They both didn't know what to do, when suddenly one of the girls that was working in the laboratory appeared. She started shouting and the two men's went out the door to see what was happening. When they left Sarah and Emma runned as fast as they could. They opened the door and they saw Diantha waiting for them. They run and run, and started hearing shots. They turned the head and saw 5 black mens on the floor bleeding. Diantha shot at them. They safely and went into the car. While they were going to the police station Diantha told them that she was a spy and that the girl that started shouting was her mate. 

Finally Diantha decided to adopt both of them as she felt a great connection with them. They spent the rest of their lives as a happy family. By Moe
