ELISA'S
Last year my
brothers and I were in our house with our grandfather, it was a rainy day so we
were really bored. As the time was passing by we were getting more and more
bored so our grandfather said that he wanted to tell us a story. The story
started with a guy who claimed having a pencil with superpowers. Every time the
guy write or draw something this thing would come true. Elisa
However, his
friends didn’t believe him. So, to prove that he wasn’t lying, they suggested
that he drew whatever they wanted. The first one asked him to draw a unicorn,
the second one an IPhone X and the third one a huge manor with more than 20
rooms. Nevertheless, this guy didn’t know how to draw very well, so he ended up
drawing a horrible creature, a rectangle and poor house instead of the things
he was asked to draw in the first place.

Even though he
wasn't the best at drawing, everyone was shook about what that small pencil was
able to do, and how easy was to control it. This little pencil caused intrigue
and curiosity between the people of the village, and everyone was now talking
about what would they do if they would have that pencil on their possession and
how much their life will change. Laura
Some of the
villagers thought that such a valuable object couldn't be possessed by a boy
who didn’t understood the potential of that pencil. If only they had that
pencil… Until one of them decided to be prepared to handle the great
responsibility, and so she tried to steal it. She entered in the house when
everybody was asleep, but the alarm discovered her, and she ran away. Only
then, the little kid knew he had to protect his pencil as everybody would try
to get it. Javier Vallejo Terraza
The little kid was
getting more nervous everyday because everyone was entering his house at all
times of the day just to look for the pencil. Some time later, he was tired of
dealing with all the problems that the pencil was giving him, so he decided to
build a mansion that was covered with an electric fence that cover all the
house around. After having everything he wanted, he threw the pencil to the
toilet and flushed it.

The little boy was
now isolated from everyone, he could not talk to nobody. He had everything and
nothing at the same time. He cried and cried for several hours until he
fainted. He was completely demolished. It is said that he was fainted for days
and days, even weeks and months. Meanwhile in his mind, he travelled to the
World of Ideas, where he met the most famous philosophers of History: Plato,
Aristotle…
Nicolás Bagur
The little boy
started talking to some of them. It was a world that no one had ever
entered before, so the philosophers were stunned to see him there. One of them,
Socrates, went to the little boy, as if he was afraid of him and began to touch
his face to see if it was real. Later, when he saw that he was, he turned
to look at the rest of the philosophers and after a silent moment everyone
began to jump and sing, some crying with joy.
Ana Baños
After a short
conversation with Socrates, he woke up in a hospital bed, with vital support
equipment all over his body. He was told had suffered an epileptic attack, and
this hallucinations were his subconscious preparing him for a more than certain
death. After a couple of weeks, he was declared fit, and returned home, but he
could not have imagined what happened in the way back home. Carlo Cabrera
Aristotle himself
was standing right before him. The bearded man stepped towards him with a
disappointed look. 'It was your inability to reach the golden mean between your
vices that brought you here. You were boastful, which led to the envy of
others, and instead of facing the consequences with courage, you did so with
cowardice," said the man, more furious with every word. The boy stumbled
backwards. Alexa C.
He felt and
realised Aristotle was totally right, he had been so boastful and he felt
in the necessity to help those people with the power of the pencil, but
it was now gone, how could he get it back?, then Plato told him that he
could teach him how to manipulate the different realms of the divided line to
create again the idea of the magical pencil from the world of ideas and return
to the mundane world through the world of shadows.-Stefan
The boy accepted
Plato's help though he started to realize that there was no way in which he
would get back that magic pencil. If only he had realized before all the good
deeds that he could have done with that magical pencil... With the help of that
magical pencil, he could have given houses to the villagers, money to those who
needed it... He just thought about himself, he didn't think in all the good
that he could have done. He decided to sell the mansion where he lived to
gather money and share it with the villagers. At least that would make him feel
better. Ariana.
The villagers were
upset because the boy had lost his pencil forever, but at the same time they
were happy because the boy's mansion was sold for 10 million dollars to a real
estate agent called Marselo. This could help and improve their village in every
aspect. Marselo noticed that the boy was very upset for some reason, so he
asked the boy what happened to him. The boy told Marselo everything that
happened with his pencil and asked him to help to find it again. Marselo told
the boy that it was impossible for him to find the pencil, but fortunately, he
knew where to find another one. José
The little boy did
not notice that Marselo was his creation. The first draw he did with the pencil
was a man, with blond hair, about thirty years old and very tall, which he
copied from a tutorial of youtube. This description coincide with the
appearance of Marselo.
That is why the
men went to help his owner, the little boy.
With Marselo,
another pen could be created, they just needed his essence, traveling through
the world of ideas and taking the “copie” that participates in its own idea. -Hugo
So that's what
they did. At first they didn't know how to contact again with the philosophers,
after a long and rough conversation they came up with the idea of going to
Athenas to the old platonic academy. They stayed there for 2 years studying all
the sciences and finally dialectics, they had become philosophers. One night
when they were sleeping in their bedroom Plato appeared himself. He told them
that they've reached the final phase to ascend to the world of Ideas and now
they were able to enter it. Pablo
They had to pass a
final test which consisted on creating a new world, different from the one of
shadows and the one of ideas. The young boy and his creation tried it really
hard and finally found a new realm which they called “The drawn world”, this
world consisted on everything that the magic pencil was able to create. Plato
was in love with this idea, he liked it more even than his two realms, but he
needed a final
piece to make this
world perfect, he needed to get back the magic pen of the boy so that
everything could make sense. But that was not a big problem as he could
submerged into the world of ideas and get that copie back. Isabel
After a very long
search, Plato found the Idea of The Magic Pencil. They were so happy. The
little boy and Marselo would be able to do good things with the pencil. To
create The Drawn World. However, the little boy was afraid, as he was not very
good at drawing, so he decided to ask Marselo and Plato to draw for him. But
Plato had a better idea, he drawed an artist who would work for the little boy
creating a good new world. By Sofía
This artists was
Picasso, one of the most famous painters of history. Plato ordered him to draw
The Drawn World and so he did. After 20 minutes he had finished drawing it.
When they saw the drawing everyone felt like fainting. Picasso draw The Drawn
World in such an abstract way that it looked like a unicorn World. They
were impatiently waiting to see what was actually drawn. By Moe
But the final
result was very disappointing , it was nothing as they imagine it had a lot of
figures in it like spheres and triangles , it was not clear enough ,so they had
to fire Picasso .That left us without artist and they had left only one day and
a half for creating the Drawn World , the only opportunity they had to create
it was to create another artist ,this one was called Salvador Dalí he worked
for 5 hours drawing the Drawn World and when he finished , the little boy ,
Marselo , and Plato were stunned by the job he did . It was amazing . So like
that they were finally able to create the Drawn World. By Roxana
Everything was
wonderful at first, and everyone could enjoy that world of fantasy, but there
was one thing that had not disappeared from the heart of men, that was envy.
Plato, as he know possessed the Idea of the pencil, decided to create things to
his will, interfering with the Drawn world, to the extent of near destruction,
the poor boy could do nothing, but see his dream shattered by someone he relied
on. Marselo was not as lucky as the boy, as Plato decided to kill him, as he
interfered with his plans. The boy only wanted one thing, which was revenge but
he did not have an effective to fight an enemy which such power. By Pedro
The boy suddenly
remembered a philosophy lesson he had. He remembered that Plato was once a
slave, so it occurred to him a wonderful idea. He would attack him in the
psychological field. He was going to make Plato have a break down, so he won’t
be strong enough to fight for the pen, as he would be totally devastated.
Before starting the plan, he had to get very well informed, if not the plan
wouldn’t be as
lethal and radical
as he wanted it to be. By Ana Pérez

He decided to
create the idea of fear, the idea of destruction, and the idea of death. Plato,
mortal as every human being on existence, became obsessed with death, to the
point of getting immensely depressed. One day, Plato decided that his fight for
the pencil was futile, because he constantly had in his head the repetitive and
unpleasant image of him catching the pencil, only to misdraw the image and get
killed by an horrendous monster he had just created. Those were just the
genius’ harmful imagination in action, but it allowed the guy to keep his
priced pencil. By Miguel de Perosanz
After taking again
the pencil, he returned to the real world, to the one which he belongs to. When
he arrived he was shocked, the fight that he had with Plato, had some
consequences, such as the destructions of some cities, and the only way in
which he could solve all those problems was by drawing everything such as was
before, but he was not a good painter, so he was afraid of not having enough
pencil lead, so he travelled to visit the best painter of that time, she was
called Rosa Melpito. By Gonzalo
Quintanilla
Rosa created the
most modern and beautiful cities ever seen, prepared for every disaster
imaginable, the boy felt he had finally completed his story arc, he had learned
the lesson that he should not be greedy or selfish, but he felt void once
again, but he was too afraid to do anything of consequence, after all the
damage he had done previously, he decided he should continue his life normally,
and only use the pencil whenever he needed. By Andrés Rodríguez
The boy was
finally living a normal life away from the pencil that had brought him wisdom
and lots of experiences. One day a beautiful girl rang the doorbell of the boy.
She claimed to have found the pencil he had once flushed and was there to share
what she had found out about its power. The boy let her through the door. They
shared a deep conversation about how the girl throw the philosophy of Descartes
had gone through a similar voyage as he did. They both coincided that the
pencil was a powerful source of knowledge and could be used to make the world a
better place so they both used it to create the world we live in now, not
perfect nor fair, but in which human beings can develop themselves as what they
are.
The old man looked
away and saw his grandchildren asleep, he had spent the whole evening telling
them the story and they weren't listening. He thought about what a world we
live in and decided he didn't want to live in it anymore.Manuel Ruiz
Sincerely, I never thought we could have made an story lile this one. The plot is really far away from a teenager mentality, but it works perfectly. Once you have Plato's world of ideas and a magic pencil, is anything you cannot write about? A great ending would have been to discover that the old man was the child of the story, and I was really looking forward to it. Anyway, this story goes inmediatly into my top 3.
